Open Up Your Teaching Practice: Strategies for Finding and Using Open Educational Resources

Have you tried to find free and quality resources online to supplement your course without success? In this session, you will learn the what, why, and how of finding, using, and creating OERs that are open for all to use and share. OER advantages and disadvantages, as well as, the literature around OERs will be presented. Come learn about a new tool available to you, Pressbooks, for creating your own OER books that integrate with Canvas. You will take away resources and strategies to help you integrate a variety of OERs and open up your teaching practice to new possibilities.
