Graduate Teaching Institute
Graduate Teaching Institute is hosted and facilitated by the Center for Teaching Excellence is for graduate instructors ready to learn best teaching and learning practices. CTE consultants will assist with everything from designing online class activities, assignments and rubrics, and building resources in the university's learning management system, Canvas. Each day we present a variety of teaching approaches and engage attendees in discussion and activities, with opportunities to engage with individuals from a variety of disciplines.
CTE is happy to return to the fundamentals of pedagogy, beginning with the question: What makes good teaching. The 2023 summer Graduate Teaching Institute is for all graduate instructors and aimed for those without a formal background in pedagogy and teaching. Graduate instructors who attend and participate in all sessions will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
