About Student Course Feedback (SCF)
Student Course Feedback (SCF) began as a student-led initiative to improve learning and inform course choices. In 2003, the University adopted a standardized, institution-wide survey for all credit-bearing courses.
Today, SCF is coordinated by the Martha Bradley Evans Center for Teaching Excellence and serves multiple purposes across the institution.
SCF supports:
- Continuous improvement in teaching and learning
- Faculty development and instructional reflection
- Faculty review and evaluation processes
- Informed decision-making for students and academic leaders
How SCF Works Today
Student Course Feedback is collected and shared using secure, role-based systems.
- Students complete surveys via Canvas and email invitations.
- Instructors and administrators access results through secure Qualtrics dashboards using University SSO.
- Access to results is based on role and existing permissions and follows established privacy and governance standards.
