About Student Course Feedback (SCF)

Student Course Feedback (SCF) began as a student-led initiative to improve learning and inform course choices. In 2003, the University adopted a standardized, institution-wide survey for all credit-bearing courses.

Today, SCF is coordinated by the Martha Bradley Evans Center for Teaching Excellence and serves multiple purposes across the institution.

SCF supports:

  • Continuous improvement in teaching and learning
  • Faculty development and instructional reflection
  • Faculty review and evaluation processes
  • Informed decision-making for students and academic leaders

How SCF Works Today

Student Course Feedback is collected and shared using secure, role-based systems.

  • Students complete surveys via Canvas and email invitations.
  • Instructors and administrators access results through secure Qualtrics dashboards using University SSO.
  • Access to results is based on role and existing permissions and follows established privacy and governance standards.

Access to Historical Feedback

  • Feedback collected from Summer 2025 onward is available through Qualtrics dashboards.

  • Feedback collected from Spring 2021 – Spring 2024 is available in departmental Box archive folders.

  • Historical SCF reports from 2007 – 2020 remain archived in Box and are available by request.
